The U.S. Has Reached 1 Million Organ Transplants!

Registered donors and the entire organ donation and transplant community have made life-saving history, together!

Thanks to your compassionate support, we continue a record-setting trend of increases each year in transplantation:

• In 2021, for the first time, more than 40,000 transplants took place, a total likely to be equaled if not exceeded in 2022.
• In each of the past 11 years, new annual records have been set in the number of deceased donors nationwide.
• Half of all the transplants ever performed in the U.S. have occurred in just the past 15 years.
• More than 400,000 adults and children are alive today with a functioning transplant.

Your generosity improves and strengthens the system, ensuring that even more lives will be saved through transplant. To continue this growth and accelerate our path to the next million transplants, we must continue to work together.
