About Donation
As an organ and tissue donor, you can save lives
Did you know that every 10 minutes a new person is added to the national waiting list? In fact, there are currently thousands of Texans waiting for a life-saving transplant right here in our communities. As one of the leading Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) designated to support the donation process, we are on a mission to provide hope to those in need through excellence in organ and tissue donation.

How organ, tissue, and living donation works
Explore the different ways you can become a donor and how your decision can save as many as 75 lives:
Our services cover specific areas in Texas
LifeGift is one of 56 organ procurement organizations (OPO) in the United States – each OPO has its own designated service area to facilitate the organ donation and transplantation process. We serve the Fort Worth, Houston and Lubbock/Amarillo Texas regions.
As an OPO, we facilitate organ and tissue donation between hospitals and transplant centers.
Become a Donor
Your decision can save lives
Becoming a registered donor is a selfless act of caring which means you agree to donate your organs, eyes and tissues to others after death. Registering puts the decision to donate in your hands since the consent you record here cannot be overturned by others. It also means that your family and loved ones will have clear guidance and will not have to decide for you, wondering what you “would have wanted” should something sudden and tragic occur.
There are a lot of misconceptions around donation. The fact is that people of any age, race, background, ethnicity or health status can register as organ and tissue donors. If you haven’t registered as a donor yet, you can register online today.
We learned the miracles and impact an organ and tissue donor can have on so many lives. It’s a beautiful and selfless thing to do.
