Who Will You Run or Walk For?

LifeGift’s 2nd Chance Run honors organ, eye and tissue donors in 109 Texas counties in North, Southeast and West Texas. While celebrating lives saved and offering hope to those still waiting, the event raises awareness of the need for organ, eye and tissue donation across the state.

How will the run work?

On Saturday, October 15, 2022 join us at the Fort Worth Stockyards where you can run or walk 1 mile or 3.1 miles (5k)!

We recognize the uncertainty about future large events such as the 2^nd Chance Run. While we’re currently moving forward with plans to be in-person for our event, we will be closely monitoring the situation. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our participants and community.

We encourage participants to create or join a team.

Teams are a great way to honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting for the gift of life.

Trophy for the Largest Family and Hospital Teams!

The largest teams (hospital and family) will each be recognized after the race on LifeGift’s website and social media platforms and receive the largest team trophy!

TEAM DISCOUNT: Teams who have 5 or more members will receive a $2.00 refund per member.

Donor Remembrance Wall

Now Accepting Submissions

We will honor your loved ones’ life-saving gifts on our Donor Remembrance Wall which will be located in the race village, on our LifeGift social media pages and on the 2ndchancerun.com website.

Remembrances can be personalized with your loved one’s name, a photo, and a few words of tribute. We invite you to click the link below to complete the submission form to take part in this tribute to life-saving donors. Along with displaying the remembrances on our social media sites and our website, LifeGift will email you the remembrance artwork. There is no charge to participate.
